These templates were written in Microsoft Word 2000 and OpenOffice Writer 1.1.0.  To use them, you must have word processing software on your computer.  If you do not have Microsoft Word, you may wish to download a free copy of OpenOffice.org 1.1.4.  This full-featured office suite is the same software we use on our public access stations at the library and is available to anyone. 

Five resume styles are available:

Chronological - A traditional format for people with extensive work experience

• Create in Open Office Writer or Microsoft Word
• View a completed Chronological Resume

Functional - A format that emphasizes skills, abilities and qualifications

• Create in OpenOffice Writer or Microsoft Word
• View a completed Functional Resume

Professional - A format that emphasizes professional experience and educational training

• Create in OpenOffice Writer or Microsoft Word
• View a completed Professional Resume

University/College Graduate - For students seeking employment related to their field of study

• Create in OpenOffice Writer or Microsoft Word
• View a completed University Resume

Entry Level/Student - Intended for students applying for a first job
